- The following terms and conditions apply to all ticket buyers or ticket holders of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and are valid for all tickets sold by China Travel Service (HK) Limited at any tickets sales phase or under any sale methods.
- The explanations for ticket application, payment instruction for each phase of ticket sales, and all rules and regulations, spectator guidelines published or to be published will form part of the sales agreement/ticket sales and booking.
- Beijing 2008 Olympic Games ticket(s) include the opening and closing ceremony tickets and individual sports session tickets. Excluding the Olympic Games accredited personnel, all persons shall hold valid tickets for admission. China Travel Service (HK) Limited will only accept ticket applications from Hong Kong residents holding valid Hong Kong identity card.
- No cancellation is allowed for all ticket reservations, ticket booking submitted or ticket purchased. In Phase 1, each applicant can only submit one application form either online or via a paper copy. On each application form, applicant may select up to 10 different sessions of tickets. Only 1 Opening and/or 1 Closing Ceremony ticket can be purchased per person. For other sessions, each person can purchase up to a maximum of 4 tickets. For Equestrian events in Hong Kong, a maximum of 10 tickets can be purchased per person per session. For Phase 2, each applicant can apply not more than 4 sessions. Each applicant can apply for maximum 1 Opening and/or 1 Closing Ceremonies tickets, and maximum 2 tickets per session for all other sport events except Equestrians. For Equestrian events, each applicant can apply for maximum 5 tickets per session. The computer system will automatically revise the quantity of tickets based on the above ceiling if number of ticket input exceeds the stipulated ceiling. Ballot winners under Phase 1 are not allowed to apply tickets for the same session in Phase 2.
- All submission of ticket bookings shall imply that purchasers have accepted all terms and conditions of ticket sale.
- China Travel Service (HK) Limited reserves all rights to refuse the acceptance of ticket reservation, ticketing booking and ticket purchase. Forms which are not duly completed, or with incorrect information submitted, or do not satisfy any or all of the terms or conditions under this document will not be considered. China Travel Service (HK) Limited is authorized by BOCOG and SF&OC as the sole ticketing agent, and under its sole discretion, to refuse applications submitted by anyone with intention to resell the tickets.
- Ticket holders shall be responsible for the safe keeping of all tickets/ticket exchange coupons. China Travel Service (HK) Limited shall not be responsible for or compensate for lost, stolen, or damaged tickets. Any damage to the tickets may result in refused admission to the sessions, of which the China Travel Service (HK) Limited shall not be held liable.
- In view of security control for the opening and closing ceremonies, all persons who are successfully in their ticket reservation for the ceremonies will be required to submit their photos (the submission deadline and methods will be published in due course) and can only be admitted in person. Ticket holders who do not submit photos pursuant to ticket purchase will be considered waiving the tickets and payment will be refunded. If transfer of tickets for the opening or closing ceremony is required, it is subject to approval by BOCOG. China Travel Service will not be responsible for refused admission due to invalid transfer of tickets/transfer of tickets not approved by BOCOG.
- Ticket holder shall follow the Rules and Regulations printed on the reverse side of the tickets for admission as set out by BOCOG.
- Children two years old or under may be admitted into stadium or venue without a ticket. However, they shall share the seat with their guardians.
- If a competition or event is cancelled, the ticket holder may apply for a refund. Refund policy for cancelled session to be confirmed. China Travel Service (HK) Limited shall not be liable for interest incurred over the period, before payment is made, nor refund of unused ticket due to no show.
- The ticket holder shall undertake all risks and danger incurred when attending any competition or event. The ticket holder shall take up his/her own risk on co m muting to/from the venue, or when he/she is outside of or inside the stadium or venue. The risks may include change in weather, the distance to and from the bus station or parking area and the stadium or venue either above or underground, collision with athletes, volunteers, staff of BOCOG or other ticket holders. The ticket holder hereby clearly states that he/she will undertake all these risks or danger, including the possibility of not viewing any specific athlete due to the delay or cancellation of any competition or event. The ticket holder will further undertake all risks of loss of properties in the stadium.
- The ticket holder agrees that the tickets will not be used for any political, publicity or promotional purposes. The ticket holder shall not solicit donation, distribute materials or leaflets or promote any commercial merchandise inside the stadium or venue. Ticket holder is prohibited from wearing or bringing any goods or clothing for political propaganda, publicity or promotional purposes into the stadium. Any propaganda or demonstration related to religion or race is prohibited inside the stadium or venue. Any person who violates the above regulations will be required to leave the stadium immediately without any refund.
- The ticket holder agrees that IOC, BOCOG and their authorized third parties may use the photos, video recordings, sound recordings or other images resembling information of such ticket holder without any reimbursement or compensation. The ticket holder further agrees that, under no circumstances will he distribute images, sounds or videos taken at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games or the Beijing 2008 Paralympics Games by camera, video machine, video tape recorder and/or other photography, video recording or sound recording equipment or any other measures through any channels for any business purposes.
- The ticket holder is not allowed to carry weapon, ammunition, dangerous articles, or explosive, chemical or flammable devices outside or within the stadium or venue and all of the above articles are not allowed to be deposited in the stadium or venue. Any ticket holder who possesses any forbidden articles or devices will be required to leave the stadium immediately without a refund. Any ticket holder who is in possession of any illegal article or device will be subject to investigation. Ticket holder shall undergo inspection for forbidden articles and devices and any other security inspection implemented by BOCOG. Ticket holder who rejects the security inspection or refuses to comply with rules and security notice published by BOCOG will be required to leave the stadium immediately. Under all these circumstances the ticket holder and related ticket buyer shall not be refunded. BOCOG reserves the right to refuse entrance of such person within the proximity of or into the stadium and/or request him to leave the stadium or venue. Anyone who is not in compliance with this document or other related rules, interferes with the competition or event by BOCOG, disturb other audience to enjoy the competition or event, or cause discomfort or insecurity of other ticket holders, shall be required to leave the stadium immediately without refund.
- Specific areas inside the stadium/venue will be designated for media or athletes and will not be open to the public.
- Each ticket holder will only be allowed one entrance per ticket. If the ticket holder leaves the stadium or venue for any reason, the same ticket shall not be valid for re-entrance to the stadium or venue.
- The ticket buyer and ticket holder shall be in compliance with all contents set out in this document. China Travel Service (HK) Limited will not take any responsibility for ticket buyer or ticket holderˇ¦s violation of the rules and regulations set out in this document.
- The ticket buyer hereby acknowledges and confirms that once he/she is the ticket holder, he/she will be in compliance with all rules and regulations related to the use of ticket and viewing of the competition or event set out or recognized by IOC or BOCOG.
- The ticket buyer agrees that BOCOG and/or IOC may adjust competition or event schedule, ticket price and other specific regulations according to the organization and preparation of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, without taking any responsibility on issuance of any notice or distribution of such notice to the ticket buyers.
- If the ticket buyer has signed on the Ticket Reservation Form/Ticket Purchaser's Record Sheet/Receipt or submitted the application, purchased tickets through China Travel Service (HK) Limited will be regarded as having read through the content of the document and agree to comply with the Terms and Conditions of Sale. Instruction for Completion of Ticket Reservation Form and the payment instruction. The ticket buyer understands and accepts the methods of purchasing the ticket, payment and ticket allocation methods of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
- In case of discrepancy, Chinese version will be used.
